Arrowtown's laneways turn vivid orange and gold. The Arrow River reflects fire-coloured canopies. Glenorchy sits wrapped in mist and amber light. And Lake Wanaka glows in a way that no other season can match. This is the season couples fly in from around the world for. And we understand why.
Why Shoot in Autumn? April is our favourite month to shoot — and most of our couples say the same once they see their photos. The light is softer and warmer than summer. The crowds are thinner. The weather is stable and reliably beautiful. Temperatures sit between 8–16°C — cool enough to feel alive, warm enough to wear that dress. And the colours. There is simply nothing like the colours.

Glenorchy
Mist rolls across the valley in the mornings. The drive alone is worth the trip. With the mountains behind you and autumn foliage at your feet, every frame looks like a film still.
Lake Wanaka & Glendhu Bay
Calm waters mirror the surrounding peaks. The poplars turn brilliant yellow and reflect perfectly in the lake. Truly cinematic.
